GIVEAWAY TIME FOR REACHING OUR 500 NINJA FANS MILESTONE!!! Thanks everyone! a Rafflecopter giveaway Thanks for the love! xoxo Sugs
Tonight I want to share with you few of my friends' awesome talent. Each one of them are uniquely gifted in their own way and I just need to get the word out there. So tonight I am going to share with you just two of them. I have a lot of crafty friends so I will not overload your brain in one post.
I would like to begin with my gal pal-Jeanette. She makes jewelry, works on brilliant art pieces, she is graphic designer and a wonderful mother and friend. You can find more pictures of her awesome skills HERE.
She even designed my chibi character for my logo and designed my business cards. Go see her if you need a logo, banner, business card, and graphic design of all sorts, tell her I sent ya.

Next is my gal pal with hair of flame. I call her Red, and you can call her Mrs. Lady Scarlett. =P She is an outgoing gal on a mission, don't let her looks fool you. She is one of my favorite pin up ladies and one of my best friends. She recently got her crafty groove back from all the chaos of a new baby and moving. You can check her out HERE.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Before I end tonight's entry, I wanted to show you some of my loot from today. If you were reading my earlier Facebook status you would know exactly what I am talking about ~.^
Look at my shirts, I think the Hershey one is my fav...and yes, because I am addicted to chocolate. =p Tell me how you think I did :) on my Facebook page. I am a happy girl, can you believe I got the yellow and the Hershey shirt for .49cents each. Talk about big SCORE and for those who were not paying attention in the classroom. The two shirts to the left were on clearance at Wally-World for $3 dollars.Also the flip flops were on clearance for a dollar! ooooo yeah!
Well folks, that concludes this evening's blog entry for tonight. Other than feeling like I may be coming down with something but I will fight it because I drew out two zombie plush patterns that I will be experimenting with tomorrow.
GOODNIGHT!!!
So I am working on Zombies, with Halloween coming up I want to come up with a few designs for the holiday. My Zombie rag doll-She is kinda tall and I am loving the long legs.
The reason why I sewn her hand towards her face is because I am wanting to sew up a brain on top of it so it looks like she is eating it.
I am also going to paint her mouth as well. Her dress is hand sewn and I used a black velvet type fabric. I added ruffles on the bottom.
This is also a very bad picture, I could not get the true colors of the fabric in my poor lighting of a house, so I brought the hues out. Once I am finish I will take her outside for her proper photo shoot.
She is tall, like I said earlier she does have some leg on her. lol!! 16 and a half inches tall. ~.^
Here are some Halloween stuff I worked on the last couple of weeks.
This below is Jack plush I hand sewn for a custom order. He is aprox. 9 inches tall. Took about six and a half hours to complete and I love how he came out. Don't you?
Now this one below was a special request. One of my loyal clients and pal wanted to see if I could make her daughter's drawing into a plush for her and this as the result. I do believe she liked it. I enjoyed doing this custom piece.
This Zombie below is the kind of plushes I LOVE making. The fun bright colors and funky hair. This one is 100 percent hand sewn. Took 8 hours to complete. The hair took the longest. Trying to determine placement and sewing each of the individual pieces onto the head took a very long time. I really love how this one came out.
I have not listed her in my shop, may wait till I get a good build up on Halloween inventory before listing. I may ask for 25 dollars for her with all the time spent to get rocking. ~.^ If anyone is interested for her just message me.
Hope you enjoyed this posting, feel free to comment, pin and fan me on facebook. Thanks so much! :)
If you are a fellow follower you will note a few changes into my blog. It has not been used in awhile and it was in dire need of a major make over.
Hopefully I will be a good blogger and keep up with this thing. I will post my ideas, WIP photos, photos of completed items for the shop, contest and as well as any random thing that comes to my mind.
Also I would love to gain more fans on my Facebook page, so I am able to network and be able to run my little at home small business successfully. FAN ME!
Last week I worked on a few fabric bows. I like them a lot. :)I am currently selling these on my fan page if anyone is interested. :) Well that is it for now, I just wanted to let ya'll know that I am going to do my best to update more on my blog. Thanks so much for stopping by!
xoxo SugsI have resurrected my blog! For the past year I been looking forward to Geekfest2012 ever since I got to enjoy the experience of it last year. I loved seeing so many people there that I shared the same interests and to my amazement I had a great turned out with it being my first ever event I done on a crafty level.
With that I told myself I want to be able to do this every year with my goal being with whatever I made to go towards my daughters' school clothes and supplies for the new school year. Why do you craft and not get a real job? You may ask. I use to work all the time, full time and I enjoyed it. My favorite field was working in the retail industry and implied my management skills and customer service skills. I loved bringing in my creative ideas to the work place and meeting my customers. It is what I enjoyed getting up in the mornings and going to work. I never ever told myself "What if I just called in sick?" I even worked when I was sick because I didn't want to miss anything. Then having the satisfaction of bringing home a paycheck that I earned and not relying on anyone's help. But Why I am not working a 9-5 job is because back in 2008 I had an accident which in result in 2 surgeries from shattering my right ankle and breaking my leg into two places. I now have a nifty 14 inch metal rod in my leg and metal in my ankle. I was told by my surgeon I shouldn't have any problems going back to work, so I went back to work 6 weeks after my second surgery to remove the screw from my ankle for better movement. I was in so much pain, I opt for 4 hours a day and pushed myself to a 6 hour shift but after 2 hours of being on my leg I was in so much pain and would come home with my ankle and calf so swollen you would think I had a watermelon in my leg. Then I would have no will power to get up from the spot that I plopped myself on, I still needed to be a mother and take care of housework. This set me off into a depression state because I wasn't used to asking for help. I was used to being independent. I took the time to concentrate on fully healing but to my astonishment I would never be 100 percent healed. Still to this day I have my bad days and I have my good days. I am in constant pain but the level of pains. I have my "comfort" pain, where I am use too and I can still get housework done and run my errands. Then I have those days where I it is just unbearable to be on it and I am in tears. Weather doesn't help, it is like it knows when its going to rain, climate change or when its really cold; those days I am down for the count and to those who know me I dislike just sitting and doing NOTHING. It will get to the point where it just hurts to drive for so long, thank goodness for cruise control. So I got myself thinking on what I could do to bring a little extra income that I was able to do without being on my feet. I looked at my hobbies, and it was simple at the time. I enjoyed sewing, sculpting with clay, jewelry making and anything crafty. I opened an etsy, started a fan page and got to working. It was no steady sale everyday like I hoped for but my fans always helped me out when I put the time on working on a project that was just to me awesome. I would plan out my work project around special events in my children's lives. Like holidays, and birthday parties. I would open myself to commissions and work really hard to putting the detail of love into each item I made for my clients and in the end I was able to have a successful event for my children. When I did Geekfest last year I could not believe on how much I made in just a day and half at the event. That proved to me that the items I did make, people absolutely enjoyed and made a promise to myself this is the one event I will do EVERY year! Meeting new friends, sharing to others my smile, happiness and my art. _________________________________________________________________________________ So here it is just a month away I am working on my inventory for the event. I few months ago I asked around for anyone who was wanting to sponsor me mainly for my supplies because my visions of all I could create I needed the supplies to do so. In my mind it would be magnificent. I found a couple who was willing to fund my supplies but something came up to where they will not be able to do so. I understand things come up but it broke my spirits thinking maybe they rethought about sponsoring me due to my items not being that great. Which caused me to do a stand still on working for 5 days. Which is very unlike me, I just needed the encouragement from those that I have ever made for to tell me I was great and for me to see that my stuff was indeed great. I know I can do this, I am quirky, positive, and a ninja. I still see myself doing the event and meeting people from last year and making new friends all over again. This is what I want and I believe in myself that this WILL happen. I decided to write this to everyone that knows me, to get to know me a little bit more about myself. What my drive is, what my goal is and see my determination. I do this for my children and for myself. I dislike asking for help but its one of those things that you are not weak for asking for help, you are stronger for it. So if any of my family, friends and loyal ninja fans would like to aid me on my supplies for Geekfest. I will be open to donations. I have enabled a paypal button to the right of this screen. Now remember I am not expecting anything except for your loyalty and friendship, so if you are not able to donate any little amount it will not make me love you any less. Remember I am the girl that can create all sorts of your geeky needs. <3Check out this kewl ninja I found on Deviant Art! He looks so cool looking!!!
New TSHIRT SHOP!
Found a company that pays me a commission to help design shirts! How awesome to let my imagination flow with this one!
Thanks for looking!
Hola friends!
I need to see if I can get some of you all to join an awesome site! I am looking for anyone who has ten minutes of their time to watch commercial ads, win points that you can redeem for prizes. Each ad you watch and rate you will be entered into a weekly jackpot drawing for cash prize. The more ppl we get in our village then more chances of becoming one of the top villages and then the company will PAY us for watching those ads.
This is my second day and so far this is a no brainer, I watched ten minutes of commercials and song choices for companies that plan on using for upcoming comercials. In return I got dicount coupons for that paticular ad that I can save in my vault and print out to use.
And No I didn't spend any money to do this. The reason why this company exists is because Companies who try to advertise their product notice with today's technology that the general public is able to skip over ads with their DVRs as well as getting ad blocker softwares onto their computers. This company is for individuals who do not mind sparing a few minutes a day to see these ads and rate them for the said companies so they know to gain more attention drawn to their product and not skipped over on tv.
Its rather easy and now I am moving on to the part where I need your help becoming a part of my Village so we can take over the world and put money in our pockets.
Please Click on the link to check out the 2 minute video for more info on the site and to join my village. Thank you
To my avid fans, please share this with your friends. I would love for them to be sold and shipped to their new owners that will wear them with love instead of sitting in my closet. Thank you.
Its Saturday. The girls are fighting over the infamous broken hoola hoop.(They use it as a horn.) So instead of sending them to their room since they do not want to share I came up with an idea.
1).I bend the hoola hoop in half then cut with my kitchen shears.
2). Took ribbon, rickrack, buttons and spare jewels, wrapped ribbon using hot glue.
3). Hot glued the buttons so they can pretend they were actual buttons on a horn.
4). Added a few details.
5). Handed to two excited little girls and took them outside.
They are having tons of fun!
So far they were in a marching band, then pretended that it was up to them to alert people of zombie attacks and now they are sitting in their rooms playing symphonies.
I am sure in time I will be annoyed with the lovely "music" they are playing but it is all worth seeing them smile and playing along nicely with each other.
Go Crafty mom, go!
I thought I share you an easy How to. Easter is coming up soon and thought I make brightly color round ninja key chains. I will be listing them on my etsy soon. So lets begin.
Be sure to click on images for extended sized.
**for your eyes you can add buttons, felt or paint them on. I painted mine.
I hope you enjoyed this how too. Thank you.
